Our Client purchased a vacant site from Landcorp and was required to construct a building within 2 years of the purchase date. The site was advertised by the Real Estate Agent for nearly 2 years on the basis that the owner would develop a building to suit a tenants specific accommodation needs. No tenant presented so the owner was obliged to construct a building on the site and then try to lease it.
As such Hodge Collard Preston Architects consulted with the client and the real estate agent to prepare a design brief to allow maximum flexibility for a range of different businesses. During the construction period the building was leased to a logistics company.
