Hodge Collard Preston have recently completed the Contract to provide professional services for the schematic, detailed design and documentation of the Lakelands Reserve Hockey & Community Facility, as well as contract administration assistance to the Superintendent. The project involved design and documentation of a new district hockey / community facility, which is centrally positioned between the new synthetic hockey pitch and grassed playing fields.

The facility combines the differing requirements for the sporting clubs, whilst sharing a number of communal areas that are required to be accessed by club members of all ages and physical capabilities. The project aims to provide a number of social spaces for the surrounding community, such as function rooms and member bar areas; together with support spaces for the sporting club members such as change rooms, kiosks and office areas for day-to-day administration.
Pivotal to the success of the project will be the integration of the proposed building into the network of proposed synthetic and grassed hockey pitches, whilst addressing the greater community needs and adjacent residential areas.
